Well, well, wellllllllll ….. What a day Sunday was up at the Trail. The lingering storm dumped a good eight inches of fresh overnight on top of what came down yesterday and it snowed again all day.
Now … epic is a big word and I have a tough time throwing it out when the overall coverage is so low … but today was about as close as it gets in early December. Blower fresh runs all day and WAIST DEEPS if you knew where to look. My legs are worked.
FrontCountry Park made it through opening weekend despite the shallow snow on Charlie Brown (those features were sitting on the dirt) and the park crew just took everything out to let a little new snow fall and groom. We’ll have a fresh line up by Thursday and by Saturday, well … things could get silly.
With this storm looking to stick around for the week, Thursday could be pretty money. Overall, opening weekend was stupendous and it’s great to have Lost Trail open once again.
Ski ya up there, Moss.
