Well, as much as we hate to say it, the chair lift season is rapidly approaching its close at Lost Trail … However, the end of every season does bring one bittersweet joy: iiSKIESTA!!

And what a Skiesta it was … Usually we get the ol’ late season cold snap and a storm a blowin’ to boot, but for this year’s festivities, it was nothing but blue sky and sunshine (which is always nice when your going pond skimming).

The Big Air went off without a hitch on the 35-foot step-over table. Contestants hucked and spectators cheered making for a great atmosphere.

Finally, it was pond skim time. This year’s pond, in keeping with our annual tradition of stepping it up a little, was 100-feet-long with a 40-degree dogleg right in the middle. I didn’t think anyone was going to get it, but to my surprise, quite a few boarders and skiers made the turn look OH so graceful. Big thanks to Tyler Bradt for putting down the skis long enough to pull out the playboat and giving the crowd a treat, fer cereal (30ish-foot gap to corner tap to pond … ridiculous).

All in all, it was a party to remember … oh, and the snow wasn’t half bad either! Looking forward to seeing everybody next year! PEACE!@#$%^
