March 11, 2010 – So, today was the last Powder Thursday of the season – LT will only be open Saturdays and Sundays from here on out (already!???) – and by the merciful hand of Ullr, it actually lived up to its name. With about a foot of fresh snow falling earlier in the week, the conditions we’re just right to finally get out and drop a few cliffs that have remained untouched all year. The bluebird didn’t hurt either.
If you get the chance to make it up Friday or Saturday, I highly recommend it. Make sure to check out Saturday afternoon’s Quarterpipe Jam, at the bottom of FrontCountry Park near the lodge.
Also, it looks like it might start snowing again on Saturday, so … do your snow dance and pray for precip. Maybe we can still get a few classic LT powder days out of this boondoggle of a winter. Peace.
